會長 Dr. Tse is known for his research on real estate and housing economics in both theoretical and empirical, with special focus on the Asian newly industrialised countries. He has authored and co-authored eight books and published over 100 articles in international refereed journals (including leading US and UK journals). An early book Hong Kong Housing Market (1992) became a classic and mandatory reading for students of real estate economics. Dr. Tse has been Visiting Scholar at the MIT. Dr Tse is listed in MARQUIS WhosWho in Science & Technology in 2003, USA, and listed in MARQUIS WhosWho in Finance & Industry in 2004, USA.

Professional Training Programme

The Hong Kong Institute of Real Estate grants professional accreditation to
practitioners in the real estate industry. Successful completion of the
Certificate/Diploma Programme endorsed by the Institute meets the
academic requirements for Professional Membership; applicants must also
have been employed in the general real estate industry for at least one year.

Membership

Professional Members of the Institute are entitled to use the professional
designation HKIR. The Members who have had a minimum of 10 years of
experience in management, and at least 5 of which have been at senior
executive level meet the requirements for membership as a Fellow of the
Institute, and are entitled to use the professional designation FHKIR.

Associate Member is available to anyone enrolled in the Certificate/Diploma
Programme endorsed by the Institute and/or to those who have completed the
academic requirements but do not yet meet the necessary experience
qualification. Associate Members of Institute are entitled to use the
Professional designation AHKIR.

A newsletter shall be published at least twice a year, and more often as
necessary to keep membership fully informed regarding Institute affairs and
to disseminate other information deemed important to the membership by the
Chairman. The Board shall have authority to publish journals/books, etc., as
deemed necessary to carry out the purposes of the Institute. Please note that
the membership fee and subscription fee for members are as follows:
